Ghanaian Tech Company ClemsHigh Business Solutions Donates to UG
As part of its corporate social responsibility, ClemsHigh Business Solutions Ltd., a Ghanaian technology and business company has donated a state-of-the art digital podium to UG to commemorate the 75th anniversary of the University.
The podium which will be installed at the Great Hall of the University is designed to streamline and enhance the delivery of speeches and presentations during events.
During the handing over of the podium, the Technical Director of ClemsHigh, Mr. Robert Oracca Tetteh stated the motivation behind the decision of his team to make the donation to the University.
He mentioned that the outfit has been collaborating with the University to carry out the implementation of the classroom mordenisation agenda of the Vice-Chancellor. Clemshigh and Orraca-Tetteh have since the start of the project modernised multiple lecture halls on the Main Legon Campus and the Accra City Campus and there was the need to share in the celebration of the University’s 75th Anniversary.
“As the University marked its 75 years and through the work we have been doing for the University, the team wanted to do something special to strengthen relationship with the University. So we took the decision to give back to the University” Mr. Oracca Tetteh noted.
He further stated that “the team chose to present a digital podium because we noticed that during the installation of the LED TV’s at the Great Hall, the current podium was not designed to work seamlessly with the LEDs so we thought it was best to get a podium that complements the LEDs.”
Accepting the donation on behalf of the University, the Acting Vice-Chancellor and the Pro Vice-Chancellor for Academic and Student Affairs (ASA), Prof. Gordon Awandare, expressed gratitude to the team from ClemsHigh for their kind donation. He also lauded the CEO of ClemsHigh, Mr. Aryee, who he disclosed had consistently extended support to the University.
“ClemsHigh has been working for the University for some time now, and I must say we have a strong and a positive relationship between them. ClemsHigh has always demonstrated understanding even during challenges. For example, we amicably resolved a challenge with the fluctuation of exchange rates” Prof. Awandare disclosed.
Furthermore, Prof. Awandare explained the decision to include the Great Hall in the classroom modernisation initiative. “As the launch of multiple initiatives was planned to take place in the Great Hall, it became evident that the Hall needed to be upgraded to align with the digitalisation efforts. The discolored projectors and screens were replaced with TV screens, marking the first step in the gradual transformation of the Great Hall.”
Prof. Awandare extended gratitude to the ClemsHigh team for joining the transformation process through the donation of a digital podium. He expressed hope for continued collaboration in the best interest of the University and the promotion of Clemshigh's business. “We hope that we will continue to work together in the interest of UG and to promote your business as well,” he said.
Prof. Clement Appah, who serves as the Co-chair of the 75th Anniversary Planning Committee, took the opportunity to extend his heartfelt appreciation to the team for their generous act. He expressed joy and satisfaction in seeing that esteemed brands are eager to align themselves with the University.
“I believe that this collaboration will pave the way for even greater opportunities and benefits in the future” he intimated.
