UG Alumna and Top Ghanaian Banker, Nana Ama Poku, Admitted into the Fellowship of the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) UK
Nana Ama Poku, an alumna of the University of Ghana, has just been admitted into the Fellowship of the Chartered Institute of Marketing, UK. Fellows of the Chartered Institute of Marketing, UK are granted the FCIM designation in recognition of their
positions in the industries they serve in.
Nana Ama Poku is a high performing financial services professional who holds an
Executive MBA (Entrepreneurial Management) from the Department of Marketing and Entrepreneurship at the University of Ghana Business School, Legon, as well as an MA in Marketing Communications from the University of Westminster Business School in the United Kingdom. She has a unique financial service experience with varied skills in Development Finance, Policy Banking and Commercial Banking.
Nana Ama has over the years had extensive corporate governance and structured training obtained from agencies around the world and played a pivotal role in the operationalisation of the Ghana Export-Import Bank (EXIM) as its pioneer Deputy Chief Executive Officer (Banking).
Nana Ama sits on the Advisory Board of the West Africa Centre for Cell Biology and Infectious Pathogens (WACCBIP), UG, and is a Corporate Practitioner-in-Residence at the Ghana Communication Technology University (GCTU).
The distinguished Marketing Giant is currently the Deputy Managing Director (Corporate Resources) at Consolidated Bank Ghana (CBG) and is the recipient of several awards and honours including the Ghana Women of Excellence Award, Global Leadership Excellence Award, Outstanding Woman in Finance Award and is the Global Chair (Exports and Credit) at the Women Economic Forum (WEF).
